With the Eagles Super Bowl Parade of Champions coming up (well, by the time you read this we will have already been!), we know it’s going to be one of those days where we step away from our usual routine. We won’t be working out, and we won’t be sticking to our typical nutrition plan, and honestly, that’s perfectly fine. We’ve learned that special events like this are part of living life and having fun. Sure, we might not be hitting our usual targets for the day, but that’s not the end of the world. What matters is that we don’t let one day of indulgence throw us off track entirely.
John and I have developed a solid routine that keeps us feeling good—regular workouts, making mindful food choices, and staying on top of our overall wellness. We prioritize our health, but we also know that sticking to a rigid plan 24/7 isn’t always realistic or necessary. Life is about balance, and that’s something we’ve really come to appreciate. It’s important to recognize that sometimes life calls for a little flexibility, whether it’s enjoying a meal out, eating some late night ice cream or taking a day off from the gym to recharge.
At the end of the day, it’s all about getting back to what works for us once the fun is over. Our fitness and nutrition choices are motivated by our bigger goals and the reasons we’ve set for ourselves. That’s what keeps us grounded and ready to pick things back up right away. We want people to know that it’s okay to enjoy a “cheat day” or take a break. It’s when you don’t get back to your routine that things can spiral. It’s all about balance—being kind to yourself, enjoying life’s moments, and then getting right back to your health journey when it’s time.
Enjoy some photos of us enjoying the parade. Go Birds!
