Can you believe it?! We’re already halfway through summer! It feels like just yesterday we were shedding layers, making plans, and dreaming up all the things we wanted to do with this sunny, vibrant season.
Maybe you set health goals—like going for runs more often, eating fruits and veggie from farmer’s markets, or simply drinking more water and less caloric beverages. Or maybe your goals were more about experiences: finally taking that day trip, making more memories with your kids, slowing down, or saying yes to more fun.
But let’s be real for a second—life is busy. Time slips away. The days fill up with errands, work, unexpected plans, let alone relaxing and before we know it, those intentions we had over Memorial Day Weekend are sitting quietly in the corner, waiting for us to notice them again.
So here’s the question: Where are you with your goals?
This isn’t about guilt. This isn’t about calling you out. This is your friendly nudge. Your gentle reminder that summer isn’t over yet. There’s still time to realign, refocus, and re-energize those goals you cared about just a few short weeks ago.
You don’t need to overhaul your life or do anything dramatic. You just need to start again. Pick one small thing to do today that supports the version of summer you wanted to live. Go for the walk. Book the outing. Turn off your phone and be present. Eat the food that makes you feel good. Reconnect with your why.
Because here’s the truth: it’s not too late. You haven’t missed it. The season isn’t over—and neither is your chance to make it meaningful.
So take a deep breath. Reflect. Reset. Then ask yourself: What do I want the second half of this summer to feel like? And go get it.
And in classic John fashion, I’ll leave you with a couple quotes…
“Don’t count the days—make the days count.” – Muhammad Ali
“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.” – Chinese Proverb
“Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.” – Robert Collier
